FAQ
Plain answers before you book
What happens at my first visit?
Your chiropractor listens first, then tests your eye movements, balance and coordination and checks how your neck and spine move. You leave with your findings in plain words and a written plan. The visit takes about 75 minutes.
Is this care safe?
Exams and exercises are low risk, and some tests can bring on brief dizziness or tiredness, so you can stop at any point. Hands-on care for the neck carries rare serious risks, which your doctor explains before any adjustment. If you have a sudden severe headache or neck pain, new weakness or numbness, trouble speaking or seeing, call 911 before booking.
Will the exam or the exercises hurt?
They are not meant to. Some tests ask your eyes and balance to work harder, so you may feel dizzy, tired or queasy for a short while. Tell us as it happens and we ease off or stop.
How many visits will I need?
Your chiropractor sets a plan after the exam and rechecks it as you go. We don't promise a number of visits or a date for any result, and results vary from person to person.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill health plans for visits your plan covers, and plans differ a lot on what they pay. Our care coordinator checks your benefits before your first visit. How fees work explains each step.
What if I don't use insurance?
You pay at the visit, and your chiropractor tells you the fee for each part of it first. You have the right to a good faith estimate in writing before your first visit. Ask us, and we can give you an itemized receipt to send to your plan.
Do I need x-rays or other imaging?
Only when it is medically necessary. If your exam shows that imaging would help, we explain why, and we may refer you to your physician or a radiology center.
What does "diplomate" mean, and do your doctors hold one?
A diplomate is a doctor who has passed a certifying board's exam in a specialty, such as one given by the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. Our credentials section lists a credential like this only with its board named, and only once the doctor has confirmed it.
What if I am already seeing another provider?
Keep seeing them. We work alongside your physician and other providers, and with your written permission we send a summary of our findings to them.
What is your scheduling policy?
Please call or message us as early as you can if you need to move a visit. Ask us about our scheduling policy when you book.
